We have worked closely with providers of Europe’s leading supply chain transport and logistics to offer training solutions as well as give them all of the tools to deliver exceptional training themselves.

Eddie Stobart provides multimodal logistics solutions throughout the UK and Europe. They have over 2400 vehicles and more than 6000 employees across 40 sites.

The Discovery

We were invited to tender for a two-year contract to design and deliver Eddie Stobart's talent development programme.

We received excellent feedback on the way we approached the tender and were delighted to win the two-year talent contract.

The Solution

  • Designed a programme of development in partnership with Eddie Stobart.         
  • Created personal effectiveness development programmes at a business foundation level. 
  • Created soft skills development programmes for business managers and
  • leaders on various topics including:
  • Performance Excellence
  • Leading a Team
  • Coaching for High Performance etc.
  • Developed a robust transfer of learning approach to ensure the learning could be applied outside of the training room.

The Process

We delivered taster sessions as part of the tender process to provide an insight into the way we work and our approach to development.

We worked in partnership with the Eddie Stobart team to create bespoke training materials that fit the training need and the organisation.

We developed the internal training team within Eddie Stobart to enable them to deliver all training consistently and to a high standard.

We built in regular reviews to ensure the development remained on track.

 
  • When Instep was invited to complete our tender process they outperformed all other training providers with their taster session delivery and by sharing their existing materials and ideas with us. We felt that they were with us every step of our development journey and offered us advice and guidance on how to make our Talent Development successful before we signed on the dotted line. They never put us under any pressure or lost patience with us when the tender process was delayed. In fact they did the opposite and helped us to re-position our internal training to have the best impact on our business.
    Our Account Manager became part of our team and has been a huge support during the build up to the talent development being launched. From a cost point of view, they deliver value for money and made the whole process very straight forward by providing a quote with no hidden extras or caveats
