The Customer

Regatta are inspired by the great outdoors. They don’t only focus on intrepid explorers, Since 1981 they have manufactured great products that enables everyday people to get outdoors and have fun.

The Discovery

We were invited to Regatta in 2012 to talk about our approach and our learning resources from there our relationship began.
 
We initially delivered a Personal Effectiveness programme for Regatta’s rising stars which is still running today – people are literally queuing up to attend. From there we were invited to deliver a First Line Manager development programme for managers based at their new 640k sq ft warehouse to 3 cohorts and based on the success of this programme we were asked to redesign this for the Head Office Managers.

The Solution

  • Observed current working practices of the team that were being developed
  • Helped Regatta to identify their priority areas and to pinpoint exactly what it was they wanted to change
  • Designed a programme of development in partnership with Regatta linked to the business competencies
  • Designed and delivered a six module programme with one module being delivered each month
  • Brought the first three cohorts together to complete some action learning sets on how they can work together across the organisation.

The Process

We took time to understand the organisation and what it was they wanted to achieve from the development and completed a detailed proposal outlining our recommended approach

We engaged with the senior team to ensure they had a full understanding of the programmes, the measurable outcomes it would deliver and to help them to implement a support structure to continue to develop their teams after the training had been delivered.

  • We have worked in Partnership with Instep for the last four years, originally starting off with them delivering a pilot programme we already had in place. It was clear from feedback and observations of their style of delivery that we realised they were a good fit for what we were looking for.
    Over the years we have found Instep to be very creative and innovative in the way they deliver solutions. They have understood our business which enables them to provide new ideas that focus on the results we are looking to achieve as a business, therefore recommending the best solution.
    The materials they provide are very professional and provide a brilliant resource tool for the participants to use during and after learning, they have recently redesigned their learning material which has allowed us to refresh what we offer.
