‘Success is a journey, not a destination’ say Warburtons team

As the Warburtons Acquire and Inspire Management Development programmes continue, the latest group of learners prove just how successful the tailored programme, designed and delivered by Instep, has been.
To support the transfer of learning process, all programme participants are asked to present what they have learned back to their Line Managers and relevant Site Management team. Five graduates of the latest Acquire programme delivered their presentation on the 7th December at Tuscany Park, Wakefield, impressing all who attended.
The presentation, led by Amanda Bailey, Glenn Holland, Viv Douglas, Angie Turnbill and Racheal Falcus, was themed around the idea of a cruise that visited four ports during its journey, each port representing one of the two-day modules they had attended. The audience were given a brief overview of content as well as the key learning points touched on during the programme. The last port was an exercise in team building and the audience were challenged to participate with feedback provided at the end of the activity.
The overwhelming view from the audience was that the presentation was not only an informative guide highlighting each individuals learning journey, but was delivered in an interactive format and style that successfully demonstrated that transfer of learning had taken place.
Instep Lead Consultant, Andy Shaw, who delivered all four of the modules was massively impressed, exclaiming, "I had to pinch myself as the five people stood in front of me showed just how much they have grown in confidence and competence".
Wakefield L&D Officer, Clive Sawyer and HR Manager, Lisa Vaile said, "We've spent a lot of money in the past to achieve this level of development - but this programme has given us great value for money so far".
The Acquire and Inspire Management Development programmes have been running throughout the year, at sites across the UK. And with over 120 learners having attended 10 successful programmes already, both Warburtons and Instep look forward to holding further sessions in 2012.
