Part of Northern Foods plc, one of the UK’s leading food producers, The Pizza Factory produces both frozen and chilled pizzas under the Goodfella’s and San Marco brands.

Employing over 450 staff, the challenge was to support The Pizza Factory’s need to delegate responsibility and improve accountability amongst junior and middle managers. We designed a tailored development programme that would give managers the practical skills to lead their teams. Managers now feel empowered, supported and free to discuss their ideas openly; presenting cost reduction and quality improvement ideas without fear of failure. Many problems are now tackled at shop floor level and valuable time has been made available for strategic thinking.
